Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Akin manages a wide variety of problems relating to the face, mouth and dentition. Dr. Akin practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal and including bone and gingival grafting. We also treat and diagnose facial soft tissue injuries, fractures and head and neck pathology.

Surgical Staff

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) Sedation and outpatient General Anesthesia in a setting that provides care in a state-of-the-art office surgery setting in which patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

The staff at our office are experienced nurses and surgical assistants trained in all aspects of your surgical care. All staff are CPR certified and Clinical Staff stay current with regular emergency drills.
